Road Closure: North Lakeshore Drive

(Lakeshore Drive) - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish –The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a continuous closure of the left lane on North Lakeshore Drive between the Westbound I-10 entrance ramp and the loop under the I-10 bridge, beginning 8 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, through 5 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for erosion control in the median of N. Lakeshore going under the approach of the Calcasieu River Bridge.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
