Road Closure: North Lakeshore Drive

(Lakeshore Drive) - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a continuous closure of the left lane on North Lakeshore Drive between the Westbound I-10 entrance ramp and the loop under the I-10 bridge, beginning Monday, April 20, 2026 at 8:00 AM, through July 15, 2026.

The closure is necessary for support of East side construction.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
