Road Closure - I-10 Eastbound

Exit 27 - Calcasieu Parish

CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced an I-10 Eastbound alternating road closure from 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, through 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb/ 4, 2026, at Exit 27, Sampson Street.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for inspection of horizontal boring under roadway. 

Closure will be in 15-minute intervals with a minimum of 30-minute openings to allow any queues to clear.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
