Road Closure: I-210 at Exit 1B, I-10 EB Entrance Ramp

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a full road closure of Westbound I-210 beginning at the Exit 1B ramp. Traffic will be redirected to I-10 East. A detour route is in place.

Closure Dates: 8 p.m. – 5a.m. Sunday, October 11, 2026, through Monday, October 12, 2026 

Closure will be conducted, weather permitting.

Closure is necessary for crews to stripe roadway for Phase 1 operations. I-210 will be reduced to a single 12-foot lane for Exit 1B (I-10 East toward Lake Charles) and a single 12-foot lane for Exit 1A (East Sulphur Industries), as well as for the westbound I-210 direct connector to I-10.

Detour Route: Take Exit 1B, I-10 Eastbound, continue along I-10 Eastbound to Exit 26, PPG Drive. Take a left onto PPG Drive and then another left onto the PPG Drive Westbound I-10 entrance ramp.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
