Road Closure - North Lakeshore Drive - service road

CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced nightly right lane closures along I-10 Westbound from Exit 30A, Lakeshore Drive, to the Calcasieu River Bridge. Beginning 8:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, through 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Closures will be picked up every night.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for the placement of concrete barrier wall along I-10 Westbound. 

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
