Road Closure: North Lakeshore Drive Left Lane

(Lakeshore Drive) - Calcasieu Parish 

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Developmenthas announced a continuous closure of the left lane on North Lakeshore Drive between the Westbound I-10 exit ramp to Lakeshore Drive and the Westbound I-10 entrance ramp, beginning Monday, August 17, 2026 through Friday, September 4, 2026.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

All ramps will be open during this time.

Closure is necessary for Duct Bank Operations and temporary barrier rail install along median of North Lakeshore Drive & Westbound I-10.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
