Road Closure - North Lakeshore Drive

Calcasieu Parish

CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a continuous closure along the left lane of North Lakeshore Drive from the merge of Ryan Street and Lakeshore Drive and ending the point where Lakeshore crosses under the Calcasieu River Bridge. It will last from 8:00 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, through 5:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for directional drilling in the median between N. Lakeshore and I-10.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
