Road Closure - I10 Eastbound and Westbound

 (Exit 27) - Calcasieu Parish

CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced an I-10 Eastbound and Westbound alternating road closure from 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. on January 13, 2026, at Exit 27, Sampson Street (Eastbound) and Exit 30B, Ryan Street (Westbound).

A closure will also be in place on North Lakeshore Drive at the I-10 West Entrance Ramp. 

Closures will be in 15-minute intervals with a 30-minute open period.  

Work will be conducted weather permitting. 

The closure is necessary for inspection of horizontal boring under roadway.  

Closure will be in 15-minute intervals with a minimum of 30-minute openings to allow any queues to clear.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
