Prospector Village Owners,

[This is a resend of the prior email which was missing the parking location map. It is now included below]

Starting Thursday, July 18, MR Tanner will begin milling/ removing the asphalt on the northbound lane of SMD (Superstition Mountain Drive). As SMD is the only access to your village, there will be potential traffic delays during this process.

Two weeks later, on August 1, MR Tanner will begin paving the red section of the road as marked on the map below.

See below for access planning for July 18 and August 1. Please read the information below, and the project notice provided by Frank Civil Consulting so you are fully prepared for the paving day on August 1.

July 18 - Milling

Access will not be restricted completely during the milling process. However, due to Village access coming off SMD, entering or exiting during the process may be met with delays while the equipment is in the road.

August 1 - Paving

Access will be restricted entirely for 24 hours beginning the morning of August 1 through the morning of August 2 (assuming no weather delays). During this time, vehicular access into and out of the village will be blocked entirely. 

To facilitate residential access during this 24-hour time frame, see below parking areas (gold stars) outside the paving area. These areas are a medium walk.

Parking

If you are planning to be on property on August 1 AND need to enter or exit in your vehicle when access is restricted in your village, please plan ahead to park in the designated location. Please be courteous and park on one side of the road without blocking driveways or mailboxes.

Retrieving your vehicle on August 2 will need to occur in the early morning. Because the opposite southbound lane is being paved the day following, shuffling cars should occur after barriers are removed from the purple section, and before paving begins.

• 7/26: Phase 2 Asphalt Paving - First Water Village

• 7/31: Phase 3 Asphalt Paving - Lost Gold Estates

• 8/1: Phase 4 Asphalt Paving - SMD - Prospector Village Impacted

• 8/2: Phase 5 Asphalt Paving - SMD - Sunset, Greythorn, Wildflower Impacted

If I am not in Gold Canyon / won't be in the property on August 1, is there anything I need to do for this project?

No. If you are not in the community, and will not require vehicular access to your home on August 1, there is nothing additional you need to do.

Friday, August 2 is trash and recycle pickup day - are accommodations being made?

Yes. We have spoken with RAD / Waste Connections of Arizona, and MR Tanner. You can place your refuse and recycle out as normal on Thursday, August 1, and they will be picked up first thing Friday morning. After trash collection is complete, MR Tanner will begin the milling process.
