Road Warranties, PPT, Revenue Sharing & More

The League’s legislative staff is actively working on behalf of League members on several different issues. First, a friendly reminder that Sept. 18 is the deadline to adopt the local pavement warranty program required in statute. Go here for details . A hot legislative topic we’re following is HB 4268 that proposes to exempt all broadband equipment from the Personal Property Tax (PPT). View our Monday Morning Live discussion about the PPT issue here . As the state budget process evolves, we're actively encouraging legislators to make revenue sharing a budget priority with an initial goal to restore the remainder of the $100 million cut made in 2011. We continue to have regular discussions with the Administration and legislators, as well as testifying in both House and Senate committees, on the League’s transportation priorities. And we continue to work with our members and partners on short-term rental legislation as the potential for committee action grows. For more details, read the League's Inside 208 blog and watch us on Facebook for the next Monday Morning Live , 10:30 a.m. April 29.
