Application for Spring 2023 Graduation Now Open 
Students planning to earn a degree or certificate in Spring 2023 are encouraged to complete a Spring graduation application now. To apply, log onto BengalWeb and choose the Academic Tools icon, then see Apply to Graduate. The deadline to apply for Spring graduation is February 3, 2023.
2022 Angel Tree Project
The Office of the Dean of Students is sponsoring the 2022 Angel Tree Project.

Through the Angel Tree project, currently enrolled ISU student families that are in need of assistance can receive gifts for their children during the holidays. To nominate an angel (child), visit our webpage at isu.edu/angeltree. Nominations should be submitted no later than Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.

To sponsor a child, take an "Angel" tag from the Christmas tree located in the Pond Student Union Building by the Campus Connection desk. Gifts for children 17 and younger can be dropped off in the Dean of Students Office, PSUB Hypostyle, room 204, by December 9, 2022. For students in Meridian, please contact 208-373-1700 for specific details about gift donation and pick-up.

Parents of the "Angels" may pick up their child's gifts in the Little Wood River room in the Student Union on December 15 and 16, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Mindful Morning Stretch - Student-led Mindfulness Activity

Students are invited to come unwind…literally!...with their peers every Thursday morning between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. at Reed Gym. Students are welcome to come and go as they need in order to take advantage of this stress reducing start to the day.
Intervene Bystander Intervention Training

Training includes viewing the 20-minute video Intervene, which features scenarios demonstrating ways in which student bystanders can successfully intervene in problematic situations. Seven different situations are addressed, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence (emotional abuse), hazing, alcohol emergency, emotional distress, and bias. Characters in the film represent the diverse identities of college student populations, including race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and ability.

The 60-minute workshop provides an opportunity for students to engage in a facilitated conversation to reflect upon the attitudes and behaviors that influence bystanders.
Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group
Losing a loved one to suicide can be a profoundly painful and isolating experience. The complexity of the emotions can feel overwhelming, and survivors often struggle to know who to talk to, fearing that others won’t understand. The Survivors of Suicide Loss group offers an opportunity to engage in discussion designed to help participants gain greater understanding and support. This group will be meeting from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Next meeting: December 8. Register here.
