Hello from Haiti!
Here's The Latest on the Clinic Move
You most likely know by now that we're working toward a new location for the clinic. It's more expensive than our current location, but it's a much better place that will greatly expand our reach. We've had a goal to raise an additional $2,000 per month in committed monthly giving. As of this writing, we are down to a funding gap of $1,014 per month. We have to commit to the new location by June, so every gift matters and we're down to the wire!
Robert's Challenge
We recently received a recurring gift of $3.00 per month from a donor we'll call Robert. (That's not his real name, so we can protect his anonymity.) When I thanked him, here's how he replied to my email:
I'm happy to help. It's not much. I can hopefully donate more in the future. I was about to donate more but then I thought to myself, "I think I can go longer if I reduce the amount a little. I don't want to bug them two or three months from now, stressed about the debts I'm working on, asking to cancel. If I choose a smaller amount, I can say No, Robert. You can keep that up. You can at least do that much."

Every Gift Matters
It may have seemed to Robert that his gift was not very important, but it matters much to us, and more importantly, to the Lord! Here's my reply to Robert:
Your gift means a lot! Be sure to read Zechariah 4:10 (For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice... ESV) . Here’s why it matters:
- You read our story and it moved you to action.

You responded and gave what you could on a monthly basis.
- Monthly giving is a huge help for us because we can budget on that basis.
- A one-off gift is very helpful, but we can’t plan and budget against it.
- If all of the recipients of our newsletter gave what you did, we would be good to go with the move!
- God will honor your commitment.
