A Little of This, A Little of That-
English Paper Piecing
Teacher: Diane Juskelis
Date: Saturdays,
October 13 & 27
Time: 1pm-3pm

English Paper Piecing (EPP) has become a very popular form of hand work for quilters because it is so portable and can be done while waiting at appointments, for children to finish activities, or to sit and watch TV or ride in the car. EPP involves wrapping paper templates with fabric and forming complex shapes and designs that are almost impossible to sew on a machine.

This class will teach the basics of EPP for hexagon and half hexagon, Dresden plate, 6 point diamonds, heart and circle shapes. Come and learn how to make the paper pieced shapes and how to sew them together. Then we will review hand applique techniques to attach the paper pieced blocks to a background fabric.

Once you complete all the blocks you will be able to assemble the blocks into a wall hanging.
