CAN YOU BELIEVE IT'S ALMOST SATURDAY?
What a great way to start your weekend.
Nurture your creative spirit in the company of fellow artists,
while learning tips on composition basics.
WE'RE PROUD TO WELCOME OUR DEMO ARTIST
ROBIN WILLIAMSON: Composition Basics
Saturday, Jan. 20 10 a.m.,
Sugar Land Art Center & Gallery, Sugar Land
104 Industrial Blvd # Q, Sugar Land, TX 77478
Robin is an award-winning artist from Texas who paints professionally in oils. After receiving two degrees in engineering and enjoying a successful career in Information Technology, Robin "retired" to raise her three children, and while doing so, re-ignited a life-long love affair with art.  When her youngest child finally went off to kindergarten, Robin took her first formal oil-painting class and was hooked. Since then, she has passionately pursued both education and easel time to continue to hone her craft. Robin is a graduate of Johnnie Liliedahl's School of Classical Oil Painting, and has studied at Studio Incamminati, Scottsdale Artist's School, The Coppini Academy, and The Ryder Studio.

Robin's desire is to glorify her Creator by reproducing the beauty of the life around her. Her first love is painting people, because she considers that the most exquisite of all of God's creations. She particularly enjoys painting dancers because it combines her love of painting the figure and her love of dance. Robin is also a musician and singer, and for this reason, finds inspiration in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, an engineer, artist, and musician. Robin runs a life painting group every other week, and enjoys sharing her craft with others by teaching classes at her local art league. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America, the Portrait Society of America, the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society, American Women Artists, and the Art League of Fort Bend.

Samples of her work are shown below.
