SNOWED OUT:  BEST at Mad Science Day at Elitch Gardens

Mother Nature threw a curve ball at Elitch Gardens on 18 & 19 May. Elitch Gardens had planned  Educational Events to turn the park into the most fun learning lab in town, but t he park was closed due to weather. Consequently, our outreach event to recruit more students with Front Range BEST was canceled. Maybe next year. Our POC at the Gardens is moving on. Angela Wilson, we will miss you at events and wish you luck in your new adventures! We look forward to working with Lisa Miller.
2017 Conference GlobalMindED
BEST at 2017 GlobalMindED Conference
21-23 June at Sheraton Denver Downtown

BEST Robotics, Inc., (BRI), our parent organization, will participate in the GlobalMindED conference on 21-23 June at Sheraton Denver Downtown.
GlobalMindED is an educational and research non-profit organization committed to creating a capable, diverse talent pipeline for first-generation-to-college, at-risk and low-income students and job seekers.  Collaboration is at the heart of the GlobalMindED conference - among educators, entrepreneurs and business leaders, policymakers in government and nonprofits, and first-generation college students themselves. On June 21- 23, 2017, hundreds of dedicated professionals and students will come together to learn from world famous keynote speakers and take part in breakout sessions that target educational change. They will share what has worked in classrooms throughout the country and come away with ways to craft innovative approaches in different settings.
Rosemary Mendel, BRI Executive Director, will bring materials to promote BEST at the conference supported by Front Range BEST and Rocky Mountain BEST volunteers
