ROBOTICS AT RCPL

Redwood City Public Library offers hands-on robotics programs where kids can explore coding, engineering and problem-solving with LEGO Spike Prime kits. These programs offer fun, collaborative ways for kids to build their skills in coding and robotics:

LEGO Robotics Series @ Schaberg Branch Library

Each month, join a free 4-week session at the Schaberg Branch Library on Tuesdays from 3:30–5pm. From September 9-30, students in grades 3–6 will work in teams to complete robotics challenges. Registration is required, with 12 spots available and preference for Redwood City residents. Register here

Kid Makers: LEGO Robotics League

On Sundays at 12:30pm, in the Downtown Library Makerspace, kids ages 8–13 can drop in for individual and team robotics activities—no registration needed. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary.

Kid Makers: Coding Club

Following Robotics on Sundays at 2pm, have fun learning to code with the Coding Club in the Makerspace! Learners of all ages (4-100) and experience levels are welcome.

TRAVELING STORYTIME TRIBUTE

Wendy Winkler, a beloved longtime volunteer with the Traveling Storytime program has recently retired after an incredible 24 years with the program. Her final placement at Thumbelina Nursery School spoke glowingly of her storytelling talents and the genuine love she brought to each visit—sharing that her presence truly lit up the room. Joining the program in 2001 as one of its very first volunteers, Wendy has read to thousands of children, inspiring a love of books and nurturing early literacy. We appreciate her commitment and she will be missed!
