The Rochester Chamber of Commerce, the City of Rochester, and the Rochester City School District are hosting a job fair open to the general public encouraging individuals from all across Rochester to find out more information about potential jobs.
Unfortunately, the District laid off talented employees in December because of its fiscal crisis. This job fair is an effort to connect those individuals with employers in the Rochester area. Superintendent Terry Dade is hopeful the job transition is smooth and quick for all impacted employees, and they remain in the education field.
Potential employment includes jobs with school districts around the Greater Rochester area and other local companies. Financial advising services support will also be available.
Attendees will include; BOCES, the Pittsford, Fairport, Gates-Chili, Churchville-Chili, Webster, Wheatland-Chili, and Holley School Districts along with the University of Rochester and the New York State Department of Labor.
