More than 100 RCSD students in grades 9 – 12 will be recognized for their academic achievements, including 15 seniors who will be going to colleges and/or trade schools in the fall.

The Rochester Children’s Scholarship Fund, a non-for-profit organization, targets students in grades 9 – 12 who have a grade point average of 3.25 or better. Their academic success and good citizenship make them eligible to apply for this fund. Recipients receive financial stipends during the school year if they maintain their grade point average. This translates into a student receiving dollars each marking period. With this financial support, students are able to purchase supplies, books, participate in field trips, and work fewer hours during the school year or save for college. Students have used this money to buy a computer or attend a function they may not otherwise have been able to afford.
