Rochester Entrepreneurs to Learn What Drives Value for a Business 
Digital Rochester panel to discuss how to fund and sell businesses 
Rochester, NY- Digital Rochester's Entrepreneurial Special Interest Group (SIG) is hosting a panel discussion aimed at identifying what drives value for an organization. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend "What Drives Value?" on November 1st at St. John Fisher College, to learn how they can fund or sell their business. Event attendees will hear from a panel of professionals who have successfully been involved in selling a company, startup funding, mergers and acquisitions, and company valuation.
"What Drives Value?" panelists have first-hand experience and will be providing guidelines so companies can ensure they are ready to seek funding or sell their organization.
Sig and Dawn VanDamme - Founders, NimbleUser
Sig and Dawn started NimbleUser, a leading provider of cloud-based association management software (AMS) in 1992. Nimble AMS provides a cloud-based, extensible, analytics-driven platform for organizations to manage and engage membership. They grew the company and sold it in 2017 to Community Brands. They have experience looking for funding and selling a company. Come hear about their journey and lessons learned!
Steve Nicosia - CEO & Managing Partner, Zen Advisory Partners
Steve Nicosia is the CEO of Zen Advisory Partners where he helps entrepreneurs and business owners start, build, grow and exit their ventures. He also works with high impact, high growth companies as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with Launch NY and coaches small business owners as a mentor with SCORE.
Don Shire - Senior VP, Paramax
Don is an investment banker with 20 years of experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He has held leadership roles in over one hundred M&A projects, of which over 50 resulted in completed transactions with a cumulative value of over $5 billion. Projects have included sell-side, buy-side and joint ventures across a broad spectrum of geographies and industries.
Joe Eckl - Senior Manager, Empire Valuation Consultants
Founded in 1988, Empire Valuation Consultants has grown into one of the nation's leading and most respected independent valuation consulting firms. Joe is a Senior Manager at Empire Valuation Consultants and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers. He has over 25 years of business experience in public accounting, internal audit, alternative investment management and business valuation.
