Rock Creek Gardens was established as a wedding and event venue in 2008, however, the Gardens history goes back far longer.
What is now the Bridal House was originally built in 1958 with bricks leftover from the construction of the JBLM Officer’s Quarters and was home to the Morell family and their four kids for over 20 years. In 2005, when the kids were all grown and out of the house, the decision came to either sell the property or create something magical. The Morell’s eldest daughter, Gracie (Venue Owner & Director), wasn’t ready to allow the property to be leveled by new construction and from there the vision was set in motion.
The property was designed to enhance the natural flow of already existing landscapes, from large rocks to the pond, and to preserve the trees that have stood for so long. Views of Mt. Rainier, 100-year-old cedar trees, waterfalls, and stone pathways throughout the Gardens invites guests to explore the beauty of the PNW. In 2008, Rock Creek Gardens hosted its first official wedding and now has thousands of guests from all over the world visit each year.
Rock Creek Gardens has been awarded one of the top garden venues in Washington State.
