The season of Easter is 50 whole days, from Easter Sunday until Pentecost, so don't rush to stash away your bunny décor or your resurrection joy.

Easter morning was a beautiful time at Shadow Rock. Much appreciation and gratitude to everyone (especially our church board!) who made our celebration happen - from making coffee to the sound booth to the parking lot. Thank you!

It's our privilege to be hosting the Celebration of Life for Shadow Rock Preschool Founding Director Eileen Hoard. Eileen's daughters invite your participation in the service on May 7 at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary. A reception in Smith Hall will follow. To help the family plan, please email Cindy regarding your plans to attend. Also, if you would like to send a thought, story, memory of Eileen to go in a booklet that the family will share in the service, please send your story or memory to Cindy by April 27.

It was great to have a moment of connection with Pastor Kega and members of Ktizo UCC on Easter morning! Members of both Ktizo and Shadow Rock are talking with one another and undertaking a study of our mission statements and exploring our mutual understandings around ministry and vision. 

Ktizo is leading the way in setting up the Beat the Heat program, a daytime heat relief shelter during the Phoenix summer. Volunteers will be needed to help during June through September. Ktizo is grateful for Shadow Rockers who participate in their "Dinner and a Movie" program on Wednesdays. It is a good thing to be in a partnership of compassion with one another.
