"Deep Dive" Opportunity with Nurturing Justice

Facilitators with the UCC-affiliated education group Nurturing Justice are beginning an anti-racism deep dive journey in March. Karen Richter and Marilyn Rampley have both participated in Nurturing Justice groups. For more information, email Rev. Kris Watson or Karen.

Join us at North Mountain Brewery on February 5

We meet again at North Mountain Brewery (522 East Dunlap Avenue) for a gathering of our Love Seed fellowship to discuss the second affirmation of the Phoenix Affirmations regarding progressive Christianity. 

The second affirmation is:

Christian Love of God includes listening for God’s Word (Word About Life), which comes through daily prayer and meditation, through studying the ancient testimonies which we call Scripture, and through attending to God’s present activity in the world.

Lunch Bunch is February 8

Lunch Bunch is a friendly group of Shadow Rock women that enjoy one another's company. They gather monthly on the second Wednesday to catch up and share their joys and concerns. Shadow Rock To Do List

Sometimes we have a busy week around here, and there are a couple of small things we need to tell you about... so here's your list! It's great when everyone is thinking about Shadow Rock in the middle of the week.

1. Do you have medical equipment (wheelchairs, crutches, shower chairs) that you've borrowed and no longer need? Please make a plan to get it back so it can be loaned again. If you need some help getting it from the parking lot into the building, just click reply.
2. Put Coffee Chat on your calendar! Our next Coffee Chat fellowship time is February 19. If you are considering hosting, please use our Sign Up Genius.
3. Still thinking about tai chi? Peggy Hesley is offering tai chi beginning Tuesday, February 7 from noon to 1:00 pm at her home. Reach out to learn more or to let Peggy know that you're coming.

2022 Giving Statements Update

In an effort to continue good stewardship, the Finance Office has distributed 2022 Giving Statements via email on Friday, January 27 at 3:00 pm. Statements were sent from this email address: hmzinn1@outlook.com, with the subject line 2022 Year-End Giving Statement.

If you haven't seen your statement, please search your spam and trash folders. Contact Heidi if you need a physical statement sent to you.

Flag Retirement Ceremony Coming Soon

Boy Scout Troop 426, chartered right here at Shadow Rock, is performing a Flag Retirement Ceremony on Monday, February 13 at 7:00 pm outside our sanctuary. The congregation is invited to attend.
