Rocket Report
Vol. 2, No. 13, November 9, 2018
Words with Wilson
For the past several years, the motto of our spell bowl team has been “Tradition never graduates.” It is the perfect motto because on Saturday our Junior Spell Bowl team competes for a third straight title. At their area competition, they put up the highest score of all of the classes. Last Friday, when the results were in from all of the different area competitions around the state, St. Roch had the highest qualifying score for our class. We are very excited for the competition this weekend and are looking forward to watching our Rockets compete for a third consecutive title.

The team has worked incredibly hard since August. They practice everyday after school, and then go home and review words each night. They are dedicated and highly motivated and we are so proud of their effort. We are blessed to have Mrs. Mary Ann Chamberlin to coach the team. She is dedicated and passionate about the importance of academic teams. She drives the team to work hard and they thrive under her leadership.

Members of the team include: Jonathon Snyder, Caitlin Pooler, Bryce Lowery, Olivia Plummer, Lachlan Borders, Ezra Littell, Mikey Riedeman, Quinn O’Brien,CeCe Keiner, Annabelle Snyder, and Sawyer Borders. Student managers are Maddie Baker, Ava Durrett and Hailey Kocher. The Rockets are coached by Mrs. Chamberlin, Mrs. Snyder and Mrs. Riedeman.
