Rocket Report

Vol. 3, No. 18, December 13, 2019
Words with Wilson
Yesterday, our middle school students had a quick staging practice to prepare for their Christmas Program. As I watched all of our students singing the final song, I knew it was going to be a great evening. Asking 90 middle school students to perform in front of a packed church, is not an easy task. As we were wrapping up our practice, I had a chance to speak to them and let them know of the gift they were giving others by their performance.

I could easily tell that they already knew the gift they were giving. For those students that do not like to sing or perform, the gift was for their parents and fellow classmates. The gift was for Mrs. Elam and Father Hunter. I did not even need me to remind them, because we have great kids at St. Roch who are able to look beyond their own wants and needs. Days like yesterday always remind me that although my role in our school is “principal teacher,” I spend a lot of time learning from the beautiful souls that fill this building. What a great job to have!
Hats, Gloves, Scarves, & Socks
Student Leadership will be collecting Hats, Gloves, Scarves and Socks beginning December 9th until Christmas Break. We appreciate any and all donations. The kids will hang these on their Advent Bulletin Boards in the Hallways as a visual reminder that Advent is a Season of Giving.
