Rocket Report

Vol. 4, No. 33, April 23rd
Words with Wilson
I am always impressed with the wide variety of activities that our students participate in. The activities range from academic teams to sports, to the arts, and to many other avenues. This past weekend I had the pleasure of watching our Theater Club perform their spring musical Elf. Theather Club is made up of students from grades 3-8. There were about 50 students in the performance, and they were FANTASTIC. The students, along with Mr. and Mrs. Elam, have been working hard on the show since August.

8th Grade student, Ashlynn Gilmore had the lead role of Buddy the Elf. She was perfect for the role, and did an outstanding job!. All of the students did a wonderful job and I am always blown away by the courage they have to perform on the stage. The goal next year is to perform the show at Roncalli High School so that we can have a bigger stage and better microphones.

A big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Elam for all of the hard work and long hours they dedicated to the show and to our students. We are lucky to have both of them!

Dress Code Addition for 2021-2022 School Year
For the 2021-2022 school year, we will be adding a navy blue pants/shorts/skorts option, and a grey shirt option. Students may also continue to wear khaki bottoms with navy blue shirts.

We do ask that if they choose to wear navy blue pants, they wear a grey shirt instead of a navy shirt. When they wear khaki pants, a grey or navy shirt is acceptable.

We will have uniform shirts with the St. Roch logo available for sale. Shirts DO NOT have to be purchased from the school. It will just be an option if you would like. Stay tuned for more details. We will open the store this summer so that you can have items for the start of the school year.

In the Know with PTO
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and the PTO is planning daily surprises for the St. Roch teachers and staff. To start the week off, we’d like to decorate each teacher’s door with personal notes about why we love them. Ask your student(s) to do it, or write your own short note (or both!). Feel free
to send messages to teachers your student may have had in the past and/or our resources teachers and staff members. The PTO will be doing something special for everyone. Submissions will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. today. If you missed the deadline, try the link below to see if the form is still accepting submissions!
There are only two 50/50 raffles remaining before school is out for summer! Don’t miss your chance to win big money. And remember, the class with the most participation will win a special treat. To
participate, you know the drill: send those labeled envelopes (name, phone number, student, grade /
teacher, and the enclosed dollar amount) to the school office for as many chances as you wish! $5 per
chance. (License #2608)
