Words with Wilson
This year “Words with Wilson” is going to be teacher and student focused. I love walking around the building during the day, and watching the students engaged in their learning. There are so many great things going on in our building. I am proud and excited to share the wonderful ways our students grow and learn. Our teachers put a lot of work into the lessons they plan, and I am excited to show them off. Check back next week to see the great things happening at St. Roch Catholic School!

Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Roberts Wins an Award
Congratulations to our art teacher, Mrs. Anna Roberts, who has been accepted to the International WaterColor Society. Fifteen thousand people around the world applied, and her beautiful art work qualified her for a spot. She was one of only one of only 100 people selected. Along with being a member of the society, she also won a monetary award. She will travel to California over Fall Break to receive her award. Way to go, Mrs. Roberts!
Thank You!
HUGE THANK YOU! Just over a year ago, we raised over $7,000 to update our school lobby in honor of Father Wilmoth’s retirement.

The walls were painted, a television was installed, new seating was purchased, our talented art teacher, Anna Roberts, painted a gorgeous portrait of the Blessed Mother that was hung, and parishioner and alumnus Daniel Feltman donated new epoxy flooring.

Earlier this month, the final portion of the renovation was completed when twelve photos of our school - some dating back to the 1920s - were professionally mounted on the east wall of the lobby. Check it out sometime - it looks fantastic!

Thanks to our principal Amy Wilson, Anna Roberts for the portrait, Daniel Feltman, Jason Adams, and Steve Dwenger for the flooring, Matt Cecil for tearing out the old floor, Mike Hammans for installing the T.V., Dan Durrett for painting the walls, Tina Hayes for coordinating the picture display, Julie Motyka of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Archives for the historic photos, and Stephanie Littell for the more recent photos. Finally, thank you to the countless donors who gave anywhere from $10 to $1,000 toward this project. It is a fantastic update to our nearly century-old school building!
