Rocket Report
Vol. 2, No. 17, December 7, 2018
Words with Wilson
The St. Roch Catholic School Christmas Program is Thursday, December 20th. We will have an afternoon performance at 1:30pm and evening performance at 6:30pm.  Both performances will take place in our church. All students in grades PK-6th grade, along with Junior High Choir and Band, will be participating.

The afternoon performance is a great time for those who do not like to fight the crowd of the evening show.  Parking is easier and it is light out for guests who do not like to drive at night. The only difference between the two shows is that the band does not perform at the afternoon show.

Students need to be dropped off at the school by 6pm. All students will report to their classroom.  They will be monitored by their teachers during the concert.  When the concert is finished, all students must be picked up at the school.   We are asking that all students dress-up for the evening show.  Jeans are not acceptable. Students are wearing their uniforms for the afternoon show.

Thank you to Mrs. Elam for all of her hard work in preparation for the program.  If you are in need of handicap seating for the show, please email Mrs. Wilson at awilson@strochindy.org and I will help make arrangements.
Christmas Eve Children's Mass
On Christmas Eve at our 4pm Mass, we will present The Story of Christmas, narrated by St. Nicholas.  Children in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade are invited to take part in this Liturgy. K-1 will be cast as sheep.  2-3 will be cast as shepherds (boys) and angels (girls). The older children will have various parts in the presentation.

If you wish your child/children to be a part of this Liturgy on Christmas Eve, please sign the permission slip that was sent home today with your child.  The form must be returned to school by Thursday, December 13th.
Christmas Spirit Week
December 17th-21st
Student Government is sponsoring a Christmas Spirit Week the week before Christmas break begins. Each day will have a theme. Students may either dress for the theme, or wear Christmas themed clothing. Please do not feel like you have to purchase items for each theme day. Red and green will always work! On Thursday, all students must be in uniform due to our afternoon performance of our Christmas Program.

Bricks 4 Kidz
Bricks 4 Kidz- We Learn, We Build, We Play- With LEGO: Gadgets and Gizmos theme

Students love our interactive Bricks 4 Kidz models. This unit is all about the fun of doing something with what you’ve built. From a spinning top to a spin art model, kids will love playing with their creations! But don’t worry, we sneak in lots of learning, too – understanding probability in the “3-in-a-row” game model and learning about friction and symmetry with the spinning top lesson. Don’t miss out!
Visit  www.indybricks.net  to register your child today.

Parents, this is a great idea to share with grandparents for your child's Christmas gift!
