Congratulations to our Quest for Excellence Team who competed at Roncalli on Saturday. We had several ribbons and medals. We would like to say thanks to all of our coaches and competitors for dedicating your time and efforts to this great success.

Our Science team brought home the Silver Medal. The team consisted of Jonathon Snyder , Caitlin Pooler , Izzy Egan , and Cecilia Keiner .

8th Grade Dinner/Auction & Play
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, March 16th, as the 8th grade class of St. Roch Catholic School has their annual dinner, play and auction.  Doors open for dinner in the gym at 5:30pm, with the live auction beginning at 7:15. Following the auction, the 8th grade class will present the play “Sweet Success.”  More information will be available soon.

Ticket prices are as follows:
$5 - Play Only
$40- Family- Includes dinner, play and auction
$8 - Adult Ticket for dinner, play and auction

Cadet Wrestling
Last weekend St. Roch hosted the 2019 Cadet Southside Scuffle. St. Roch cadet wrestlers are on a combined team with other southside schools. Our Cadet team placed 1st overall. The following Rockets placed individually in various weight classes.

Bricks for Kids Update
A quick reminder that Bricks 4 Kidz class will not meet this coming Thursday, March 7. (If you recall, we added/changed the class to meet Valentine's Day)
The final two LEGO classes at St. Roch will be March 14 and March 21. We look forward to seeing all of our young builders then.

Trivia Night
TRIVIA NIGHT TO BENEFIT OUR SISTER PARISH IN HAITI! Please mark your calendar for Friday night, March 1st! Put together your team or you can join a team the night of the event. Tickets will be on sale soon for $25 per person includes your entry fee, McQ’s pizza, 2 drink tickets and dessert! We are starting a new campaign to build another chapel for one that was destroyed in a hurricane within St. Michael Parish in Baie-de-Henne! More details soon! 
Fish Fry - Sponsored by Men's Club
The St. Roch Men’s Club will be sponsoring several Fish Frys during the upcoming Lenten season. The dates will be March 8th and 15th, and also April 5th and 12th from 4:30 to 7:30pm. Dinner includes main dish, 2 sides, dessert,& drink for $7.00. The menu includes:hand breaded fish, baked fish, shrimp,grilled cheese ,cheese pizza ,green beans,coleslaw ,mac n cheese ,fries,and onion rings.
Mardi Gras Celebration
Student Government will be sponsoring a school wide Mardi Gras celebration in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 5th, AKA “Fat Tuesday” (the day before Ash Wednesday). Student Government is asking for each student to bring in $5, to help support this event. Students will have ample opportunity, to play games, win prizes and get snacks and/or treats during this celebratory event. This event will occur during the school day.

Please send all monies in a marked envelope labeled “Mardi Gras” and with each student’s name. You may send in cash or check. If you have more than one child you may combine your payment. Payments may be turned in to the office or with homeroom teachers. 

$5 per student should be submitted no later than this Friday, March 1st.
Lent Morning Reflections for St. Roch Moms
All mothers of the St. Roch Community are invited to participate in a Lent prayer and reflection group. We will read, pray, and reflect individually, and meet together to pray and share every other Tuesday during Lent from 8:15-9:15 a.m. in the Parish Life Center. These dates are March 3, March 19, April 2, and April 16. Join us in person, or participate in prayer independently using the same devotional we will have. Contact Stephanie Newton in the parish office at (317) 784-1763 or email at if you are interested in this opportunity to make the most of this Lent together in fellowship with other moms!
Wine and Painting
St. Roch Women's Club is hosting another Wine and Painting night on Tuesday, March 12th . We'll paint "be still" beginning at 6pm . All painting supplies, instruction, snacks and sodas will be provided. $25 per painter (send checks to the school or the church). Limited space available.

Upcoming Book Fair
Book Fair is almost here!! The Book Fair will be here the week of March 11-March 15. Below is the link for the Book Fair. It contains the flyer of the books that will be for sale and most importantly information about the new e-wallet parents can set up for their student. In a nutshell, you preload an account for your child with the amount you will allow them to spend. No more lost of forgotten money for Book Fair. Please check this link out for more information:

Junior Rebel Theatre Camp
Registration information for this summer's Junior Rebel Theatre Camp is now available.

Registrations opens March 1.  
Roncalli Summer Camps
Roncalli High School will again offer many different sport camps this summer for elementary age student athletes currently in grades K-8. These camps are conducted by members of the Rebel coaching staff and serve to provide fundamental instruction in each sport as well as a wonderful opportunity to have fun in a friendly and nourishing environment.

The Roncalli RPO invites you to the Ash Wednesday Fish Fry! Join us Wednesday, March 6th from 5:00-7:30 PM in the RHS cafeteria. 

Dinner is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids 8 and under. Dinner includes fried fish, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese, green beans, chips and a drink. Optional cheese pizza for kids. 

Proceeds benefit the Christian Awakening Retreat.
