Get Ready for New Elite

The next few weeks we'll get to see a new year of Elite talent with tryouts for boys and girls scheduled at the end of February and March.

Feb. 25 - Elite 14U Boys Competitive Team tryouts, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Feb. 25 - Elite girls tryouts, 6th-8th grade, 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.; 9th-12th, 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Feb. 26 - Elite boys tryouts for 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and unsigned seniors, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
March 11-18 - Elite 4th and 5th grade boys tryouts, 5th grade, 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; 4th grade, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Trio of Titles at CYBN Tourney

Three Rockford Elite squads won titles at the second Battle at the Rock on February 5, which the Rockford Elite hosted in partnership with the Rockford Park District and Chicago Youth Basketball Network.

Elite 4th Grade beat the Thunder Elites, 36-29, and Hampshire 5th graders, 39-32.
Elite 7th Grade blew through Tru Ballers, 62-21, and Hersey, 57-32.
Elite 14U knocked off Freeport Step Back, 43-34, and then edged Illinois Attack, 50-48.

Alumni Report!

Khaleb Wilson-Rouse is thriving running the show for the New Orleans Privateers. He has played in 25 of 26 games, averaging 29.6 minutes, 9.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. His best game was back in November when he scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds against LSU.

Caleb Donaldson continues to get big minutes at Eastern Illinois University. Caleb is averaging 8.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. The coaching staff has now played him 30 or more minutes in 12 straight games.
