4th of July Boat Parade

When: July 4
Get in the Patriotic mood as you view the Patriotic boat parade at Noon. Best views are from Broadway adjacent to Little Bay.

Wendell Family Firework Show

When: July 4
When the sun goes down, you will be able to see fireworks from Little Bay. The good news, if you are close to Little Bay or the beach, you will get to enjoy the fireworks. The Wendell Family carry on the tradition of bringing these fireworks for all to enjoy. They collect donations all year long. The amount of donations raised constitutes the size of the show.
Rockport Art Festival

When: July 4-5
Artists from across the nation showcase their masterpieces in a variety of styles and media at this juried fine arts event. Since 1969, this annual art festival has made Rockport the best place to be on the Fourth of July weekend in Coastal Texas. The Rockport Arts Festival is the premier festival for artists looking for an enthusiastic audience. Proceeds benefit the Rockport Center for the Arts
Fishing and Birding
Fishing in the Bays are Plentiful

Open piers:
Breakwater (End of Market Street) pier, Rockport Beach North Pier, Leggett Channel, Rockport Harbor Seawall, Bulkhead at Fulton Harbor, Copano Kayak Site, Howard Murph Park, Copano Causeway Boat Launch.

State Park:
Goose Island pier is closed but fishing is available at Day Use Area and Boat Ramp.

Open marinas:
Cove Harbor Marina, Copano Causeway Ramp and Boat Launch, Rockport Beach Park, and Fulton Harbor and Cove Harbor Marina.
Birds are Flying High

Birding Migration:
From the Gulf of Mexico to beaches, bays and estuaries and inland woods, prairies and fields, one will find extraordinary birding throughout Aransas County. We have 10 birding sites on the Great Texas Birding Trail.

From November to March, the world's only wild flock of over 500 endangered Whooping Cranes calls the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge home.

Sandollar Summer Market
July 3-4- This event will be held at the  Aransas Pass Civic Center  and you don't want to miss the fun! Show hours are Friday 10 am-5 pm and Saturday 10 am-4 pm. Admission is good for both days and don't forget your non-perishable food donation for St. Mary's Star of the Sea Food Pantry to save on your admission. For vendor or general info call 888-225-3427.

Rockport Cultural Arts District
July 11- Rockport Downtown Farmers Market, 9 am-1 pm, A great place to buy locally grown produce as well as jams, jellies, & pickled produce. There will often be fresh-baked bread, local honey, hen fruit, and freshly made goat soap. Buy fresh produce and cottage canned products, bread and more.at 105 S. Austin St. in the Oh My! July 11- Makers Market, 9 am-5 pm, Downtown Rockport Maker's Market is a local outdoor market featuring handmade items from local artists and fun and unique home décor. Located at Rockport Daily Grind, 302 S Austin St.  More information here.

Fulton Mansion State Historic Site
July 14- 7-8:30pm,   Music at the Mansion. Limited 10'x10' lawn spaces available for households. Must abide by site's COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing. Masks encouraged. Food and refreshments available for purchase by Toscano Burgers & More beginning at 6pm. Rockport Center for the Arts 
Free Family Saturdays during the school year. Stop by the Art Center any Saturday during the school year and make an original work of art with your children. Each Saturday will feature a different project. Most projects take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour each. You may drop in anytime between 10 and 4. All are welcome! An adult must accompany all children.

Disc Golf at Memorial Park
The City of Rockport opened a free, nine-hole, disc golf course at Memorial Park. Disc golf is played much like golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, though, players use a flying disc or Frisbee®. The sport was formalized in the 1970s and shares with golf the object of completing each hole in the fewest strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest throws). Texas' first Blue Wave Beach! Located at 210 Seabreeze Drive, Rockport, TX 78382. Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 6am-11pm and Friday-Saturday, 6am-11pm. Parking costs for the Rockport Beach are $5/Daily and $20/Yearly.

Birding and Dolphin Tours/Boat & Kayak Excursions

Community Aquatic and Skate Park
Admission is $5. Classes include: Water Aerobics, Water Walking and Lap Swim. The park houses an 8 Lane, 25 yard pool (heated to 86 degrees) and diving area, a bathhouse, towel warmer and swimsuit dryer. Goose Island State Park
Goose Island State Park is open 7 days a week from 8 AM-10 PM. Park Headquarters is staffed 7 days a week from 8 AM-4 PM. Limited tent camping, RV camping, and day use are available by online reservation only. The boat ramp, fish cleaning station, nature trail, and picnic area are available for day use. The island bayfront area, including the fishing pier, is closed for construction for the foreseeable future. Please obey all barriers, construction markings, and social distancing guidelines when visiting the park. While at Goose Island, be sure to visit one of the most famous live oaks in the world, the "Big Tree" estimated to be centuries old.

Aransas National Wildlife Refuge
Aransas National Wildlife Refuge is open daily from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. The Visitor Contact Station is open daily, 9 AM-4 PM.
