Welcome to the City of Prescott Rocky Dells Water Main Replacement Project eNews. The City of Prescott and their contractor, Asphalt Paving & Supply, are working on a water main replacement project that consists of removing and replacing the aged, and deteriorated water main in the Country Club Park Subdivision (commonly referred to as Rocky Dells) and a small section of Thumb Butte Road. Additional work includes the installation of new water services, fire hydrants and curb and driveway restorations as needed. A chip seal application will be applied to the affected streets following utility installation.



Once complete, this project will increase water system reliability and upgrade the existing infrastructure for the local community. The project is scheduled to be finished in fall 2022. 

CHIP SEAL APPLICATION COMPLETE

 

Crews have finished installing a chip seal application along the project corridor. With this work complete, landscape restoration and miscellaneous clean-up activities will begin.

Monday, October 3 through Friday, October 7, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Please be aware of lane restrictions, reduced speeds, loud noise and flagging operations throughout the work zones. 

MISCELLANEOUS UTILITY WORK REMAINS

 

All major utility work within Rocky Dells Drive and the Thumb Butte Road and Rocky Dells Drive intersection, is complete. With this work finished, crews will begin raising utility covers to the final road grade throughout the project corridor.

Please be aware of lane restrictions, reduced speeds, loud noise and flagging operations throughout the work zones. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the area.

NO ON-STREET PARKING
 
To avoid conflicts with construction equipment, and expedite completion of the project, the City asks that you avoid on-street parking while road construction is underway. Personnel will work with residents to maintain driveway access throughout the work zones.
