Hello again and happy October! It's officially time for apple picking, pumpkin carving, and spooky costumes.
I have much to share with you this month, though I'll try to keep it short and sweet!
First and foremost, October is home to many national causes, but two that are most near to my heart are Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As you know, each year we collect donations on behalf of two organizations that support these very two causes:
A Woman's Place is the only domestic violence community benefit organization in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They provide a full range of programs and services to individuals experiencing domestic violence, their children, and the community.
Unite 4 HER is a non-profit that enriches the health and well-being of those diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers – for life – by funding and delivering integrative therapies.
In Financial Planning News:
On October 1st, the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened! If you have a student who will be attending college/university in the 2022-2023 academic year, you'll need to log in and fill out this form as part of the enrollment process. The earlier the better!
On October 15th, Medicare Open Enrollment will begin, through December 7th. I have linked the medicare.gov website below where you can learn more about the Medicare options you need.
Last but not least, I'd like to briefly address the market as September and October are notoriously the more volatile months. This often causes a bit of uneasiness when viewing your accounts; however, I want to remind you that we have already planned for these rollercoaster highs and lows together. Rest assured that you don't need to worry. I feel confident in the choices we have discussed for your financial portfolio.
Thank you for your trust in us here at CURO. I know I speak for all of us when I say we appreciate your support.
Until next time,
Marianna
