I have been asked this question several times today, so I'm answering it first. NO, Roger McGuinn is NOT sold out, there are seats available. So buy those tickets and come on over Tuesday night.
Next question, I've been asked recently. YES, there are Patio Performances on Saturday. See the full story below. And there are tickets left for Raiatea, so you can really get some Aloha next Saturday.
The last question I've been asked recently is "Do we have any chocolate?" This was one of my student workers and I had to say no, because I haven't been to Costco to get our candy jar refill.
When you order online the price is the same as through the box office and the same seats are available. You just don't get to talk to our great student workers! There are no add-ons, no "facilities surcharges" and no fee for parking at the Shannon Center either way you order.

As the founder of The Byrds, Roger McGuinn is firmly established as an indisputable industry icon. From his signature 12 string Rickenbacker sound, to his instantly recognizable vocals on hits like "Turn,Turn,Turn", "Eight Miles High" and "Mr. Tambourine Man", McGuinn didn't just make music; he made history.
Jim McGuinn, later known as Roger, was already a veteran of the New York and Los Angeles music scenes when he co-founded the group that would become the Byrds with Gene Clark and David Crosby in 1964.

Madison Makanaokahaku Scott is an energetic young lady with God gifted musical talent. She has a strong interest in all things Hawaiian, especially the language, music and culture. Her name means "gift of God", which is Hawaiian name given to her. She has been joyfully singing, playing piano and composing music for the Lord since her early childhood. Diligent in her personal devotion to Jesus, her earnest desire is to encourage others to know and worship the God who made them. For her high school senior project, Makanaokahaku has performed and produced an album entitled Makanaokahaku, having arranged several of her favorite traditional Hawaiian mele (songs). To this she has added five of her own compositions. Makanaokahaku serves on the worship team in her local church on the Central Coast of California with her 'ohana (family). Without the burden of eyesight, Makanaokahaku focuses on how to experience God's creation through her other heightened senses. You can find out more about Madison at www.makanaokahaku.com

Aloha Concert Series
RaiaTea Helm
Saturday, October 7, 2017
2:00 & 7:30 p.m.
Tickets: $47.00

Raiatea Mokihana Maile Helm set the Hawaiian music community on fire at age 18, with the release of her debut CD Far Away Heaven in 2002. Her pure, clear voice makes her a natural performer of leo ki`eki`e (Hawaiian falsetto). She is now recognized as one of Hawai'i's premier female vocalists and a keeper of the Hawaiian falsetto tradition of the early to mid-20th century. Accompanying herself on 'ukulele, Raiatea interprets traditional Hawaiian songs with the mastery and control of a jazz vocalist and has been heralded as the successor to such Hawaiian music greats as Aunty Genoa Keawe. She has earned 6 Na Hoku Awards (Hawai'i's "Grammy") including Female Vocalist of the Year and Favorite Entertainer, and made Hawaiian history by becoming Hawaii's first-ever solo female vocalist to be nominated for a Grammy©.
