Phillies CFO John Nickolas visits Rowan as Executive Lecture Series Guest Speaker
The Rohrer College of Business (RCB) was honored to welcome special guest speaker John Nickolas, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Philadelphia Phillies. On Oct. 21, Nickolas addressed about 100 students, faculty, staff and coaches in the Eynon Ballroom of the Chamberlain Student Center as part of RCB’s Executive Lecture Series.
Rowan University celebrates Women Entrepreneurship Week across the campus
Entrepreneur and author Charlie Fusco kicked off Women in Entrepreneurship Week at Rowan on Oct. 17 by speaking about her experience in founding a company.
“If you are thinking about becoming an entrepreneur, do not do it,” Fusco said, as she recounted the hardship, bankruptcy and failure she faced in developing her company. Building a company, she said, comes with difficulty and, ultimately, some form of failure, she told her audience.
Results of the study, Best 294 Business Schools: 2017 Edition, were published by Penguin Random House/Princeton Review Books in an annual review that’s largely based on student surveys at the schools.
Accounting and Finance Expo draws 60 employers, nearly 300 students
Each September, the Accounting and Finance Expo brings eager recruiters looking to hire Rohrer College of Business (RCB) Accounting and Finance students to campus.
This year, 60 organizations representing all areas of accounting and finance descended on Rowan’s Chamberlain Student Center for the sixth annual expo on Sept. 22.
Rowan University’s AACSB-accredited Rohrer College of Business offers an M.S. in Finance Online program designed for business students and professionals interested in pursuing financial analyst or financial planner positions in corporations or financial institutions.
