ROMANIA #329
EASY HIGH SUCCESS EUROPEAN BROWN BEAR
| |
|
After eight years of closure, Brown bear in Romania was reopened this season, and the hunting has been exceptional. As of this writing, 100% of our 2024 clients have been successful on these bears, with a number of our clients taking their animals the first evening of the hunt. This hunt is arguably one of the physically easiest bear hunts available and with one of the highest success rates for any of the worlds' brown or grizzly bear species.
Our outfitter primarily hunts Harghita, Covasna, Brasov and the Sibiu areas, with ideal dates from August through November. These are EXPORTABLE bears at fantastic pricing! The numbers of mature bears is overwhelming in these areas, and baiting bears is a legal method. Please note that only bears scoring up to 400 points CIC (gold medal is over 300 points) are eligible for export, with a 5% margin of error allowed by the government, allowing bears scoring up to 420 points CIC exportable. Archery hunting is not currently legal in Romania.

GREENLAND #359
SPRING MUSK OX AND SMALL GAME
| |
|
Price INCLUDES the trophy shipping from Greenland to New York for the first muskox!!
Not only has this outfitter produced an unbeatable success rate of 100% on mature muskox bulls on all past hunts, but they are one of the only outfitters in Greenland who hunt exclusive concessions no other outfitters can access. These exclusive concessions have allowed them to hunt a high density of game not pressured by competing outfitting companies, with many Hunt Nation clients taking their trophy bulls within the first few hours after arriving at camp. Accessed by ATV from the town of Kangerlussuaq, these March hunts offer tolerable temperatures with high populations of game, a safe and comfortable heated cabin camp and the expertise of a generational outfitting family. Additionally, this is a great time of year to hunt arctic fox over gut piles plus ptarmigan and arctic hare.
Additionally, our package pricing includes the cost of trophy shipping for the first animal from Greenland to New York, a value of more than $3,000 with many other outfitters. Sako rifles in various calibers, each with premium Swarovski optics, may be rented for $150.

MONGOLIA #328
ALTAI, HANGAI AND GOBI IBEX & ARGALI
| |
|
Offered by an outfitter with decades of experience guiding hunters to all species found in the country, hunters can expect well-managed concessions with high opportunity on mature trophies. With the aid of 4wd vehicles, horses and even camels paired with reasonable altitudes seldom exceeding 10,000 feet, Mongolia offers a physically easier hunting experience than many of the central Asian countries. Hunt Nation's Derek Amadio hunted here in 2018, and all past Hunt Nation clients have been successful with this outfitter. Prices have increased over the last few years due to Mongolia's new system of auctioning tags to the highest bidder, but many of the ibex hunts remain a great value for a true mountain hunting experience.
Fly to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (ULN), followed by domestic transfers by ground or air to each regional hunting area. Expect seven-day hunt schedules for ibex and ten to 14-day schedules for sheep. Hunt prices do not include meals and hotel accommodations in the cities, domestic transportation by land or air to each regional hunting area ($600-$650), rifle rental or rifle import permit @ $250, veterinary certificates @ $90 each and export cites @ $180 each, or any observer fees.

ALASKA #233
BROWN BEAR, LODGE BASED OR TENT CAMP OPTIONS
| |
|
This outfitter is one we have worked with for over 10 years. He hunts some of Alaska’s most famous areas with some of the highest brown bear concentrations in the state including the famed Wood River-Tikchik Park, the Togiak Wildlife Refuge as well as Admiralty Island. Here, clients have a great choice of options for both spring and fall hunts, including lodge-based and tented camp options.
The LODGE-BASED fall option, located inside the Wood-Tikchik State Park, offers an added level of comfort of personal cabins, a camp cook, modern amenities including Starlink internet and wifi calling for those who wish to stay in contact during their hunt and excellent fishing. The aid of jet boats allows for easier access up and down the river system as you and your guide hunt over salmon spawning areas. Most bears taken from the lodge option (as well as bears taken from the Lower Salmon tented camp) will range in size from 8' to 9.5'. Bear densities are very high in these areas, and it is common to see numerous animals each day.
For those seeking the largest-possible bears, we recommend the option inside the TOGIAK National Wildlife Refuge. Here, the outfitter looks for large, trophy bears from 9' to more than 10' in size. Anyone considering this option should be in good physical condition as the country is expansive.
