Today's Program:  Ronald McDonald House Charities of SWFL

Our presenter today was Amy Blanco from Ronald McDonald Charities. What they do? Keep families together and near the care they need. The house is a home environment providing support and resources. They have a family room at Golisano Hospital that offers parents a place to rest and regroup while at the hospital. Snacks, bag lunches, books, games and TV are provided. The charity also has a care mobile that assists children to access the health care they need. They have a family meal program, one that we volunteer for 4 times a year and we collect aluminum tabs as well as the K-Kids for the agency. To reach Amy 239-437-0202, or learn more at  www.  Pictured above are Amy Blanco (left) and President Rachel.

                             Florida's First Lady Project--Diaper Drive

We are collecting diapers during the months of March and April.

For March we donated 3,000  to St. Vincent De Paul. They went to families in Page Park and Pine Manor. For April we are donating them to Children's Advocacy Center. They especially need sizes 4-6. Bring them in to Todd or Kim. 1,000 has been dropped off so far.

At the end of April we'll send our total diaper count to the Florida office.

You can also bring in items associated with diapers such as wipes. If you don't want to shop a club member will be happy to do that.
