JUNIOR ROYAL THEATRE CAMP

REGISTRATION & INFORMATION

R CLUB OF THE WEEK:

ROBOTICS CLUB

This week's R Club of the Week is the Robotics Club.

The Robotics Club meets to learn the basics of how to design, build and use robots. Teams consist of four to six students that build a robot to compete at area VEX competitions. In addition, students work with middle schoolers to introduce robotics to our future Royals.

Club moderator Ben Grimes states, "I began this journey with the Robotics Club nearly six years ago when my own children were in grade school. I realized the impact that working with robots had on their ingenuity and its application to real world physics and engineering, so I wanted to give the Roncalli students that same opportunity."

Senior Josh Renshaw adds, “While at Roncalli High School, the Robotics Club has become something that I am very proud of. I am very proud of what we have accomplished and what the team has become. Over the years, we were able to attract more people than ever to the team, which has allowed me to refine my leadership skills.”

If you have any questions about the Robotics Club or any other clubs, please reach out to Mr. Michael Wantz, assistant principal for student life, at [email protected].

Good luck to the Robotics Team who will compete this weekend at Purdue Polytechnic High School!
