SERVICE HOURS RECOGNITION FOR MEMBERS OF CLASS OF 2023

Roncalli High School asks its students to complete a minimum of 18 hours of service each semester. The members of the Class of 2023 have been completing service hours for the past four years, and many have "gone the extra mile" in serving the needs of others. A total of 57 seniors have received their service cord, which signifies a student completing 50% more than the expected hours. Among that group, the following students have exceeded all expectations and clearly answered the call to "be Christ to others" by performing over 400 hours of service over the past four years. They will be honored with their name on a plaque that hangs in the school’s cafeteria and receive their service cord to wear at graduation.

Angel Hudspeth - 796 hours

NEWMAN CONNECTION

Parents and Students of the Class of 2023:

As a school community, we work every day to establish a strong faith community and to foster a love for our Church. After our students graduate, we recognize the need to support our graduates in staying connected to the Catholic Church. In our continued commitment to our student's spiritual growth, we partner with Newman Connection.

Newman Connection’s High School Outreach Program is dedicated to connecting graduating high school students to the Catholic campus ministry of their chosen college (whether it is a Catholic college or not). In an effort to bridge the gap in the transition between the community here at Roncalli and the Catholic faith community of our student's chosen college, Roncalli will provide our students' names to the Newman Connection to invite them to connect to the Catholic campus ministry on campus - whether that is an invitation to come to Mass, to participate in a service opportunity or to receive pastoral support.

If you are not interested in participating in this program, please contact Mary Sheets msheets@roncalli.org by graduation day. Please feel free to contact Katie Hibner khibner@roncalli.org Roncalli Campus Minister, if you have any questions regarding Newman Connection’s High School Outreach Program.
