Last Saturday, Roncalli juniors Olivia Bodrick, Caroline Crews and Marygrace Rykowski attended the annual Richard G. Lugar Symposium for Tomorrow's Leaders at the University of Indianapolis. Our juniors represented Roncalli among high schools from across the state for important conversations about public issues and world events. Juniors were selected based on their outstanding academic achievement and completed service hours. 

TUITION ACCOUNTS AND FINAL EXAMS

In order for students to take their semester exams in December, tuition accounts must be current through the November payment. Payment plans will not be accepted. If you need assistance with the Tuition Management System or have any questions, please contact the Roncalli Business Office.

Junior scheduling for the 2025-2026 school year begins December 5th!

Counselors will visit junior theology classes on Tuesday, December 3rd to go over the new scheduling process. You can expect a scheduling packet to come home with your junior. Please review the prerequisites and courses with your student. He/She will sign up for an appointment with their counselor using the link that will be sent on December 3rd to sign up for their senior year courses. Juniors CANNOT sign up during a core class (English, Science, Math, Social Studies or Theology) or a class in which they have a test or quiz. 

STUDENT REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND PAID BY THEIR SCHEDULING APPOINTMENT TO ENSURE PLACEMENT IN SENIOR YEAR COURSES.

Advanced Placement and 8-period day forms will be sent via email directly to parents to sign on the day of their child’s scheduling appointment. Counselors will remove students from AP courses if the form is not filled out by January 17th. Please sign these forms right away to ensure your child’s placement in AP courses. 8-period day requests will be honored ONLY for students with conflicts in their schedule. Other 8-period day requests will be waitlisted until all students have scheduled their courses.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THESE UPCOMING PERFORMING ARTS DATES

The Theatre Productions class presentation will be performed on Monday, December 9 at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 and will be sold at the door.

On Wednesday, December 11, please plan to join the Roncalli Choirs as they present their annual Christmas program. The concert begins at 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at roncalli.booktix.com

SNOW DAYS & eLEARNING POLICY

On the first three (3) days that school is closed for any reason, Roncalli will have an eLearning day on the same day as the cancellation. Teachers will have their assignments posted on Canvas no later than 11:00 AM. Students will be required to log into their Canvas account no later than 12:00 PM/Noon. A student who will be absent and unable to complete their work due to an illness must have a parent or guardian contact the attendance office via email prior to 12:00PM/Noon to be excused from the work. Failure to contact the attendance office will result in an unexcused absence. The work on eLearning will be due no earlier than 7:30 AM on the next school day.

In the case of the fourth (4th) and fifth (5th) days that school is closed for any reason, Roncalli will have an in-person school day on either Presidents’ Day or the Friday of Baccalaureate. In the case of using Baccalaureate, final exams would move back one day. 

ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR IS OPEN

Current student enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year and the new student application are open. An email with a link to the parent account has been sent out. It contained your login email. Please do not create a new student application for your current student.

The non-refundable enrollment fee is $100 and can be paid on FinalSite (Enrollment program). Payments by cash or check may be sent to the Guidance Office with your student. The enrollment fee increases for current and new students after January 15, 2025, to $150.

All students must be enrolled and their fees paid before courses will be scheduled into PowerSchool. 

There is a new process for scheduling 2025-26 courses.  

**The current juniors’ deadline is December 2, 2024. This is when juniors will start meeting with their counselors to select courses.

Current freshmen and sophomores need to enroll by January 15, 2025, as the fee increases after January 15. Course selection will start at the end of January.

Wednesday, December 4th - Senior Mass with the Archbishop

Seniors will NOT have class on Wednesday, December 4. Instead, they will report at 8:30 AM to the cafeteria and then take buses to St. Malachy for Senior Mass with the Archbishop. They will return and be dismissed immediately upon returning to school around 12:30 PM. All senior students who have an internship experience, except KLR interns, will be excused from their internship for Senior Mass with the Archbishop on Wednesday, December 4. The senior KLR interns will be expected to log on to their classes when they get home from Mass. Do you want to make sure your student receives a yearbook for the current school year? You can order online now. The discounted price is $65 until February 15 when the price increases to $80. Yearbooks will be passed out to graduating seniors in July and to all other students on the first day of the 2025-26 school year. A sales representative from Awards America will be in the main lobby (enter through door #1) on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM and Wednesday, January 15, 2025, during all lunch periods to take orders for all students interested in purchasing a Roncalli Letter Jacket this year.

Welcome to another year of exciting Roncalli Royals athletics! Planning on attending a Royals athletic event at Roncalli? These are the only acceptable means for admission to a freshman, JV or varsity athletic event at Roncalli.

• A paper ticket (purchased with cash at the gate) 
• An electronic ticket (using a credit card at https://websites.eventlink.com/s/roncalli-high-school/tickets on your mobile device)
• A Golden Guard mini-diploma
• Current Student ID card at the gate (they will not need to get a paper ticket)
• Current Faculty/Staff ID card

EACH person entering the gate must have one of these forms to enter.

Ticket booth - we will take cash to purchase tickets, or you may purchase an electronic ticket.

You’ll be notified before any care begins, with your permission sought every step of the way. The Roncalli High School Transportation Department desperately needs bus drivers to drive our big buses. Drivers need a CDL license to drive these buses. This is a great way to get paid to watch Roncalli's athletics and fine arts events and to help with field trips. If you already have your CDL or are interested in getting yours, please contact transportation director Michael Wantz at mwantz@roncalli.org or 317-787-8277 ext. 284.

• For Dennis Stephenson as he continues to battle cancer. Dennis is a longtime Roncalli supporter and is married to Patti, a 1969 graduate of Chartrand High School. Dennis and Patti are the proud parents of six Roncalli alumni and currently have grandchildren as students at Roncalli.
