FALL & SPRING BREAK POLICIES
School policy does not provide for any early start or extension of either fall or spring break. No student will be excused from school on any day(s) the week before or the week after fall or spring break. Any student’s absence on these days will be considered unexcused. An unexcused absence means that one point will be deducted from the student’s cumulative grade in each class at the end of that grading period. Teachers are not required to make special provisions for students who are unexcused. Students absent because of illness on the day(s) preceding and/or immediately following fall or spring break will be required to bring a doctor’s excuse to the Attendance Officer upon their return to school.

WALKATHON 2026: ONE MOORE STEP TO CHRIST!
Congratulations to winning t-shirt designer, senior Vivie Hayes! She received $50 for her winning design.
| | | |
Walkathon season is officially underway! This annual all-school fundraiser brings our Royals together for fun, school spirit and a shared purpose.
Fundraising starts today! Students are bringing home their Walkathon envelopes and received their personal online fundraising link in their school email during 9th period. Encourage your Royal to share their link with family, friends and neighbors and start working toward those Walkathon goals!
Funds raised this year support needs-based tuition assistance and faculty professional development, helping make a Roncalli education possible for more students while investing in the teachers who make it so special.
Help us stock the Prize Vault! We’re also collecting gift cards to restaurants, stores and other student favorites for incentives and prize drawings. Donations may be dropped off at school. Please mark attention: Brandi Young, director of alumni relations and special events, or email at byoung@roncalli.org to coordinate.
Every gift. Every student. Every step makes a difference.
One community. One mission. One MOORE Step to Christ.

Last week, a group of sophomores and juniors attended the Herff Jones Legacy Leadership Summit at IU Indianapolis. The Herff Jones Legacy Leadership Summit is an interactive, high-energy workshop program designed to inspire high school student leaders to problem-solve, build relationships and implement positive changes on their school campuses and in their communities. The group heard from guest speakers and worked on a project to bring back to the halls of Roncalli.
Attending the summit were (pictured above kneeling) Chris Jerry, Cohan O'Connor, Isaias Hawkins, Jon Nelson, (standing) Lydia Heinekamp, Kahle O'Connor, Alayna Garnica, Hattie Knott, Elleigh Bartley and Cailan O'Connor.
| | RONCALLI FUTURE COURSES & PATHWAYS FEASIBILITY SURVEY | | |
Roncalli High School is exploring new courses, career pathways, certifications and work-based learning opportunities as Indiana transitions to its new high school diploma.
The new Indiana Diploma provides students with greater flexibility to personalize their high school experience around their goals for college enrollment, employment, enlistment and/or service. Roncalli is seeking input from families, alumni, businesses, industry leaders, community members and important stakeholders to determine which opportunities are both valuable to students and feasible for Roncalli to develop.
Your feedback will help us identify potential programs, partnerships, internships, courses and career experiences that could prepare students for life after high school.
This survey should take approximately 5–7 minutes to complete. Please note: This is the same survey shared via email earlier this week. We’re sharing it again to make it easier for our community to participate. Thank you for your time!
