HOMECOMING DANCE - SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 | |
Saturday, September 19
from 8:00 PM - 10:50 PM
Student Council will host the 2026 Homecoming Dance in a tent between the circle and the auditorium on Saturday, September 19, from 8:00 PM - 10:50 PM. It's shaping up to be a night to remember, filled with music, dancing, yard games, Kona Ice and more! While students have already been provided information about the event, appropriate attire and school guidelines, here are some last-minute reminders for parents:
- We've designated the circle as the area to use for those dropping off and/or picking up students. Please enter via Prague Road.
- The Bubble parking lot will be available for student parking. Please enter via Lasalle Street.
- When making plans for before the dance (group photos at someone's house, dinner reservations, etc.), keep in mind that students may arrive no later than 8:30 PM. Students arriving after 8:30 PM will be subject to a substance abuse test. Once at the event, students may leave no earlier than 10:00 PM (the dance officially ends at 10:50 PM). If a student were to feel unwell during the event, a phone conversation between a school administrator and the student's parent will be required to arrange for pickup or to permit the student to be released if they drove themselves. Families with specific circumstances that conflict with this policy should contact Mr. Crissman, dean of students, at tcrissman@roncalli.org.
For any other questions about the dance, contact Assistant Principal Michael Wantz at mwantz@roncalli.org.
| HOMECOMING DANCE: DRESS CODE |
DRESS CODE REMINDERS
Students are advised to err on the side of modesty and formality. Any student who violates the policy will not be permitted to enter the event until his/her attire meets the requirements.
Male students are encouraged to contact Mr. Crissman with any questions concerning their attire before purchasing their outfits. Here are the male attire expectations from the handbook:
- Long pants and collared shirts are required.
- Shirts must be worn appropriately at all times.
Female students are encouraged to contact Mrs. Kompara with any questions concerning their attire before purchasing their outfits. Here are the female attire expectations from the handbook:
- May wear a dress, skirt/top or pantsuit.
- May not reveal all contours of the body.
- Dresses shall be one-piece with straps over the shoulders and shall be longer than their fingertips. Furthermore, dresses shall cover all parts of the body so that no part of the midriff or cleavage is exposed.
- Any sheer, lace or see-through material in the dress cannot expose areas such as the midriff or cleavage.
*Because of differing body types, the same dress may meet the criteria for one person, but not for another.

FALL & SPRING BREAK POLICIES
School policy does not provide for any early start or extension of either fall or spring break. No student will be excused from school on any day(s) the week before or the week after fall or spring break. Any student’s absence on these days will be considered unexcused. An unexcused absence means that one point will be deducted from the student’s cumulative grade in each class at the end of that grading period. Teachers are not required to make special provisions for students who are unexcused. Students absent because of illness on the day(s) preceding and/or immediately following fall or spring break will be required to bring a doctor’s excuse to the Attendance Officer upon their return to school.
| | |
Parents and guardians, please remember:
-
Late to school: Contact us the same day with the reason for the tardy. If we do not hear from you, it will be unexcused. No call is needed if your child is late of their own accord. The appropriate consequence will be given.
-
Absent: Contact us before 9:00 AM by calling 317-787-8277 or emailing afarris@roncalli.org.
-
Leaving for an appointment: Send a note with your child before school or email afarris@roncalli.org. Please provide documentation from the appointment afterward.
Questions? Contact Mr. Crissman, dean of students, at tcrissman@roncalli.org.
