Hello Athletes!

Please make sure you know where you are going. This event is held at Gas House Gym 12422 E Desmet Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99216. There is a parking lot with spots out front and more spots on the streets around the venue. I recommend having someone drop you off at the venue if you're local.

This message will describe what will happen when you arrive for weigh-ins and throughout the day. Please read it completely.

There is no night before weigh in. You may only weigh in at the time time of the session you lift in (schedule was sent in an earlier email). When you arrive, Mentors will greet you and walk you through the entire check in process. The Mentors are going to help you through the process of each aspect of the event. Ask them questions if you have them. If you have competed in another federation in the past, we may run things differently from what you're used to. Please don't assume the process will be the same as what you've experienced before.

I have assigned the Mentors to each flight. If you have a coach, that's great. However, if that coach is not an active USA Powerlifting lifter, they may not be aware of the correct process and rules. The Mentors are there to help you be successful.

eigh ins will be done by lot number. This is a randomly assigned number. If you are not there when your name is called, you will be moved to the end of the flight. Please arrive early and be available to begin your weigh in on time. You must weigh-in during your scheduled session time to be eligible to compete. Please do not wait until the end of weigh in time to show up!

During the Check In process, you will verify your USAPL Card if needed, pick up your meet shirt and swag bag. You MUST show your current USAPL card to the person at the check in table if it was not current at the time of registration (copy on your phone is fine but the number and expiration date must be visible).

After you do this step, you will proceed to the "WEIGH IN" area. You'll need to have your first attempts in Kg on your lifters card BEFORE you go in to weigh in. I recommend writing them down on a piece of paper or somewhere easily accessible on your phone. EVERYONE competing will need your ID (something that shows your date of birth). If you are a teen or youth lifter, you will need to bring a copy of your birth certificate if you do not have an ID.

Form a line and listen for your name to be called. You may weigh in wearing the underwear you will compete in, naked or in your singlet and t-shirt. A male referee will weigh in males and a female referee will weigh in females. Any lifter 13 years or younger must weigh in wearing their singlet and t-shirt. The referee will record your weight and all of your first attempts on your Lifters Card and you will initial the card.

After you have weighed in, proceed to the "EQUIPMENT CHECK" table. Here, all of your lifting gear and attire will be inspected. Please DO NOT wear your singlet to the venue. It needs to be inspected and it is difficult to do this with you wearing it. If you are further down the line for weigh in's, you may do this before weighing in.

After you have completed all these steps, proceed to the lifting platform. Someone will be there to help you get your RACK heights for squat and bench. This is so we can set the bar up for your specific height. Your rack heights will be recorded on a sheet of paper.

After you have completed these steps, you can sit and relax, eat, drink or warm-up. There will be a rules briefing shortly before the session begins. If you are in fight B or C please wait until flight A have completed their warm-ups before you begin warming up.

We encourage all your loved ones and friends to come support you. But please make them aware there is a $10 fee (cash only) to get in the door (this includes your coach if you have one). Children 12 and under are free.

See you all Soon!!
