Please welcome Jeff Cologna to the Root-Pike WIN Board!
Jeff grew up in Kenosha, with summers and most holidays spent immersed in the woods of northern Michigan. These experiences instilled in him an appreciation for the natural world, which deepened during his time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he spent much of his free time exploring the Arboretum. In his career, he has specialized in developing complex commercial agreements, including those related to technology. We appreciate his willingness to bring his expertise to Root-Pike WIN, which is valuable to navigating the complexities of watershed protection and restoration.
Beyond his professional career, Jeff is passionate about environmental conservation. He currently serves as a land steward and board member of the Chiwaukee Prairie Preservation Fund in Pleasant Prairie and has served as a land steward and on the board of the Friends of Nachusa Grasslands in Franklin Grove, Illinois.
Jeff holds a degree in Political Science & International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He believes strongly in supporting organizations with the capability to build stronger and healthier communities for all, and he is eager to contribute his skills and experience to assist in our mission of protecting, restoring, and sustaining the Root-Pike basin watersheds. We are grateful to welcome him to the Root-Pike WIN Board.
