This weekend we got to commission our 10 interns into the beginning of their work this summer. Three of our interns will be serving in Children’s Ministry (CM) and seven will be serving in Youth Ministry (YM). On Saturday we had a full day of team bonding and training. One of our main focuses on Saturday was learning what it means to care and love God's people. Together we looked at 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, James 1:19-20, and Micah 6:8. Each of these verses serve as reminders to us all that we are called to love and celebrate with each other in our various gifts. This summer you will see each of these interns throughout various events at CPC. The first event is The Gathering on Thursday, June 20 at 5:30PM at LeRoy Haagen Park! We ended our training retreat by enjoying fellowship over ice cream and dinner.

VBS IS NEXT WEEK

We are welcoming over 110 children hosted by over 50 volunteers. Please pray that all involved would feel the welcoming friendship and love of Jesus during this special week.

Work Camp Prayer Partners and Encouragers Needed

Support a student or leader going to Work Camp in Mexico this year through prayer! Grab an encouragement note at the table in the Gathering Area after worship on June 23 or 30, and write a note that they'll receive during the week in Mexico, or sign up to become a prayer partner for one of the attendees & pray for them during the week.

Shuttle Drivers Needed

We need adults to help shuttle students & leaders returning from Work Camp from PDX to CPC on Saturday, July 13 at approximately 1-2PM (depending on if the flight is on time). Please email Katie if you'd like to volunteer and include how many passengers your car fits or if you have a truck/SUV that can haul luggage. All drivers must submit a copy of their driver's license, proof of car insurance, and complete a Driver's Screening form.
