Over 110 kids and 50 volunteers dove in last week to VBS. Thank you to all who gave of their time and talents to serve so many beloved children. And thank you to all of the grown ups who entrusted us with these kids.

On Sunday, a full Sanctuary celebrated the life of service of Sharon Wallenborn as the Director of Circle of Friend’s Preschool.

People of all ages gathered on a beautiful Thursday evening two weeks ago at Leroy Haagen Park to play, chat and break bread together. There was no shortage of food, conversation or laughter. A special thank you to our fabulous interns, lead by Lydia Fitzpatrick, who jumped into the first week of their internship with two feet. They planned, shopped, hauled, grilled and cleaned. 

How wonderful it is to belong to each other in Christ.

Two Sundays ago we commissioned our Work Camp team. This group of students and leaders (56 people), were prayed over as they prepare for a long anticipated service trip to Tijuana, Mexico. They leave this Saturday, July 6. May the Lord guide them in all of their endeavors as they serve others in the name of Jesus.

Shuttle Drivers Needed

We need adults to help shuttle students & leaders returning from Work Camp from PDX to CPC on Saturday, July 13 at approximately 1-2PM (depending on if the flight is on time). Please email Katie if you'd like to volunteer and include how many passengers your car fits or if you have a truck/SUV that can haul luggage. All drivers must submit a copy of their driver's license, proof of car insurance, and complete a Driver's Screening form.

Communion on July 7

Children will be invited forward for the Time with Young Disciples and then proceed to Sunday School as normal. Our Sunday School teachers will escort the kids back to the Sanctuary before communion and they may sit with their families or with the Children and Youth staff. Children who have not yet received communion are welcomed and encouraged to come forward for a personal blessing.

• Summer SUN-Day School is offered at both services to Preschool-5th Grade.
• Nursery is available during both services

Due to Work Camp:

• There is no Middle School Youth Group on Wednesdays, July 3 and July 10
• There is no High School Youth Group on Sundays, July 7 and July 14.

• There is no Youth Sunday School in the summer - see you in the Fall!
