WHAT:
Rooted School New Orleans and Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) will officially launch a new Nursing Pathway with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 22 at Rooted School at SUNO, 6701 Press Drive.
The new pathway will give interested Rooted students the opportunity to earn more than 31 college credits while still in high school, putting participating students on a path to potentially enter SUNO as sophomore nursing majors after graduation.
The credits include nursing-related courses such as Anatomy and Physiology I and II, as well as general college courses that are part of SUNO’s freshman-year curriculum. The pathway is open to all Rooted students interested in pursuing nursing, with additional students expected to join as the program grows.
