Shop and Donate at the SAME TIME!

As stated below, we are looking to raise enough money to be able to create 40,000 meals at our closing retreat. One way that you can support this cause, is by shopping via the link below through Boon Supply. We earn 50% of all money spent through this link. So please share it on your social media and encourage others to shop this way. You can share the FB post made by "St. John Neumann, Reston".

Service Opportunity:
Fund Raising for Rooted Service Projects

At the Rooted closing retreat in March, we will be doing a service project of packing meals to feed 40,000 people! We are kicking off our fund raising efforts by raising awareness in the parish after Masses this weekend. See the link below to sign-up. (This can count as service hours.)

Celebrating Advent

Each participant has an "Advent Challenge" calendar in their Rooted journal to help with preparing for Christ and spreading joy throughout this season. Advent begins on Sunday. Please review the calendar with your teen and encourage them to follow-through individually or as a family. For your convenience, you can find a copy of the calendar at the link below.

Set-Up Help Needed

Participants, teens, and parents, we need your help to set-up for each Rooted session. Please sign-up at the link below (additional dates have been added). (This can count as service hours.)

Volunteers Needed!

We still need just a few more volunteers for the Rooted program this year. This includes Small Group Facilitator assistants and volunteers who work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Help is most needed at both Sunday evening sessions. If you are able to help or would like more information, please let me know at .

Here is the latest information pertaining to the Branching Out program!
Sharing the Advent Story

Join us on December 14th at 6:15pm for an evening of prayer, song, and storytelling! This is an event for the entire parish. Branching Out participants are welcome to come on their own or with their families. We will meet in the Conference Room (behind the desk at the top of the stairs) at 6:15pm for hot chocolate and cookies. We will move to the church around 6:45pm and sit together for the show which begins at 7:00pm. Please let me know ( ) if you are coming and how many people will be joining you so that I can make sure we have enough goodies! Friends and family are welcome!
Service Opportunity:
Pancake Breakfast Volunteers Needed

Every month the Knights of Columbus hosts a breakfast for the parish to help raise money for a charity. Their next breakfast will be held on THIS SUNDAY (Dec 2nd) . They need some volunteers for setting-up, serving breakfast, and cleaning-up. Please sign up at the link below and come help out! (This event can count as service hours.)

Branching Out T-Shirts

We now have Branching Out t-shirts on sale for $10. They are available for purchase, however there will be a supply on hand in the Faith Formation Office for off-site Branching Out events where all participants will be required to wear one to assist with better supervision and accountability. Participants may purchase one to own or may choose to just wear one of the extras when attending off-site events. Shirts can be purchased during Rooted sessions or any other time that staff is available in the Faith Formation Office.

The Branching Out Calendar is available on the website. There will likely be additional activities and events scheduled, but these are some to save the date for!
