Here is the latest information pertaining to the Rooted program!
Rooted in Service

Like last year, Rooted will end with a retreat day which will include a service project of packing meals to feed 40,000 people. This takes a lot of effort and funding to make possible. We will be raising money for the food and shipping costs. It only cost $0.25 per meal, but the means we need to raise $10,000. There are many ways that you and your child can help. Here are just a few options:
  • Have your child complete extra chores at home and then donate the money they earned here: DONATE ONLINE
  • Have you child sign-up to speak at Mass or to be pass out flyers after Mass: SIGNUP HERE
  • Do some of your Christmas shopping through Boon Supply who will give us 40% towards our cause: BOON SHOPPING LINK
  • Check out our fundraising website for more information on this and other ways to help: WEBSITE LINK
Please Join Us!

Session #5 will conclude with a prayer service and we would love for parents and family members to join us. We will meet in the chapel about 20 minutes before the end of the session. Please plan to come early for pick-up and join with us in this interactive prayer experience!
Attendance Updates

This year, we have implemented a new reporting form for any children who will be absent, late, or in need of an early dismissal. If your child falls into this category for the fifth session (which meets in December), please complete the form below at least an hour before your child's session is scheduled to begin.

Joe Melendrez

The concert at our closing retreat this year will be performed by Joe Melendrez, a Catholic rapper. Parents are encouraged to join us for that and exact times will be communicated as soon as they are determined. We will be using Joe Melendrez's music throughout the year in Rooted and I strongly encourage you and your children to become more familiar with him. From his website you can learn more get linked to him through YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Google Play. Please explore his music and follow him on social media and encourage your children to do the same.

Art Contest - Mural Painting

St. John Neumann's Youth Ministry would like to invite 8th Graders to join their team of youth competing in this year's National Diocesean Contest. The team will be creating a mural in the Youth Room. Last year's mural one first place in the country! See the flyer below for more information.
Salesian Youth Mass

Bring the whole family to this monthly Mass centered on teens and Salesian spirituality. The next Salesian Youth Mass will be December 22nd at the 5:00pm Mass. This includes a personal reflection on a Salesian theme given by one of our High School youth.
Branching Out T-Shirts

Branching Out t-shirts are on sale for $10. They are available for purchase, however there will be a supply on hand in the Faith Formation Office for off-site Branching Out events where all participants will be required to wear one to assist with better supervision and accountability. Participants may purchase one to own or may choose to just wear one of the extras when attending off-site events. Shirts can be purchased during Rooted sessions or any other time that staff is available in the Faith Formation Office.
Thank you for all you do to make your children's faith formation a priority and for inviting us to support you in this wonderful journey.
