Judges Training Resources Available on RSA's Website
|
|
With our first competition of the season only a few weeks away, this is a friendly reminder to review the judging tips and updated rules that will be used at the 2018 RSA Team Competition and other competitions throughout the year.
Jodi Harrison and Myles Bogstie (RSA's Judging Coordinators) have worked with Ché Borden (RSA's Social Media Coordinator) to make a
training page for judges on the
RSA website (password is
RSA2017).
On this page you will find the latest information on Creativity, Difficulty and Speed, reference guides for marking Creativity A & B, as well as videos of trick levels, including a video test of several different tricks, and answers to many questions that were asked at RSA workshops this year.
This information comes from Rope Skipping Canada's National Judges Trainer, Ellory Bruce, and this will be used as Rope Skipping Alberta's guide for judging in Alberta. Please take some time to review it, as there are many important changes. Creativity Judges are required to bring the printed reference guides for competitions.
All coaches, judges, and other competition officials are encouraged to familiarize themselves with this information. Please contact
Jodi Harrison with any questions.

Last year's Skipping Summit Task Group has pre-booked the same facility in Wetaskiwin for the 2018 Skipping Summit to ensure we have a location to host this great event.
It is scheduled for the weekend of October 20, 2018.
A couple members from the 2017 Task Group have agreed to assist with the 2018 Skipping Summit but we need 2 - 3 more people!
If we want to secure some amazing coaches, possibly a larger venue, and make the next Summit even better, WE NEED YOUR HELP right away.
