To our Rosa Coplon Living Center Family Members and Responsible Parties,
As New York State continues to battle the impact of the COVID-19 virus, we are more committed than ever to caring and supporting your loved one while providing factual information to you.

This week the State and Federal government has revised our reporting requirements. In order to meet these requirements and to provide you with the most up-to-date information, we will now be listing a daily snapshot of any confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases on the Family page of our website: https://www.weinbergcampus.org/Portal-Family/ . The username is:  family and the password is: weinberg321 . These updates will be posted by noon daily, and will replace our weekly letters that have previously contained this information.

Our focus remains on the health and well-being of our community. I can assure you that we are following guidelines and protocols recommended by local and state public health officials and the CDC to protect our residents and staff members, including quarantine protocols, screenings, the use of personal protective equipment, and a 7-step infection control cleaning process that includes hospital-grade disinfectants that eliminates coronavirus from surfaces.

We have health care heroes right here at Weinberg Campus.
We’d like to recognize our staff for the concern and commitment they have shown to our residents during this challenging time. You may have heard news stories about the country’s health care heroes who are showing up every day to care for others, while balancing care for their own families. You don’t have to look very far to find these heroes—we have them right here, and we are proud of them. I know you appreciate their dedication, as well.

We also we want to go above and beyond protecting the health and safety of residents.
We strive to maintain and enhance the well-being of your loved ones through a variety of mentally stimulating, safe activities. Our activities calendars are available on our website . In addition, to help you stay connected, we will continue to update our COVID-19 resource web page .

Visitor restrictions are still in place.
Last week, President Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force announced federal guidelines for opening up the country. We will continue to follow New York State Department of Health guidelines for no visitors until they deem it is safe for our residents. We understand this is extraordinarily challenging and are happy to help arrange alternative ways to connect.
Thank you again for your ongoing cooperation and support as we work together to protect your loved ones.

Sincerely,
Matt McDougall
